As a programmer on this project, I worked on creating a fun, Overcooked-inspired game. My main focus was building the order system, where different tasks are shown as unique images. This added some variety and made things more challenging as players had to juggle with ingredients.
Together with Mandel, we set up systems so players could pick up ingredients, brew potions in a cauldron, and deliver them to complete orders. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning the player controls to make sure interactions felt smooth—things like rotating, picking up objects, and delivering items all had to work seamlessly. I used Unity’s Input System to make sure everything responded well and felt intuitive.
Also handled the game-over logic, where the timer kicks in if orders aren’t finished in time, keeping the pressure on. Besides programming, I helped with level design, placing all the assets that Caroline made and making sure the environment fit together nicely for smooth gameplay.
In the end, my goal was to pull everything together into a game and make sure it's fun, challenging, and works smoothly.
